Vortex and dome fountains are connected by a meandering river of Pennsylvania Blue flagstone, with granite seats. The site-specific design of the plaza with low-flow water features, distinctive paving, and Canyon Columns is the largest public art installation at this new urbanist community. West Crescent Plaza -- a public art design build collaboration by Andy Dufford Christian Muller, and Nuszer Kopatz Design, with Forest City Development. The plaza anchors the town center for the Stapleton urban redevelopment project, a new urbanist town center. Lead artists Andy Dufford and Christian Muller were involved from the earliest design phase, working with the developer, architects and general contractor to integrate the plaza into the overall plan for the community. The collaboration included landscape architects Kevin Crehan and Bruno Gilmour of Nuszer Kopatz Design to create a unique gathering space that would enhance the sense of identity for this brand new urban community.
